Hi, I’m Stephanie and I have lost over 125 pounds.
I was overweight at age 9 and went on my first diet at the age of 12. From there I went on diet after diet, losing weight sporadically but ultimately each year I got bigger.
I consider the true beginning of my weightloss journey to be when I was 25. I was over 300 lbs. and decided to go on another extreme diet feeling desperate to lose weight. That week I slipped and fell in the shower (I didn’t hurt myself) and I also rear-ended someone on my way to work (mild fender bender). No one knew at the time why it had happened but I knew I was spacey from not eating. I decided then that I needed to stop doing extreme dieting and only make small changes that I could hold onto forever.
I have lost approximately 10 pounds a year for thirteen years (not exact). Since 2014, I have maintained a fluctuation of about twenty-five pounds.
Professionally, I am a small business consultant based in Los Angeles. I have helped a variety of companies and private individuals with hiring, operations, organizational development, marketing and so on.
